they teach us,

they nurture us,

they care for us,

they love us.

we complain about them,

be rude to them,

curse them,

we seem to not appreciate them.

but on this special day,

their day.

we arm ourselves with gifts,

hand-written cards,

and an open heart.

we thank them.

for their teachings,

tolerance, care,

and love for us.

we appreciate them,

from the very bottom of our heart.

yet, we rarely show it.

to all the teachers out there,

happy teacher’s day!

keep doing what you're doing,

and one day,

we, students will truly love you.

i mean, we already do.
