she's used up her brain juice in math,
she's hungry despite the lunch just one and half hours ago
now, she has to prepare herself for three more hours in school
she strolls to the venue
realises she's going to be outdoors;
for the next three hours.
three hours later,
her legs are giving up.
her brain has ended work.
she still has a journey home.
one full of inconsiderate adults,
and similarly fated students.
"just nine stops"
she told herself,
"and i'll be home"
she repeated for the tenth time.
"five more minutes,
and she'll be here"
she reassured her tired self
when she finally steps into the door,
she lies down on the floor.
unable to function,
as well as before.
